This Bob the Builder cake is based on the plates that will be used for the party, and it is almost an exact replica! All of the 2D figures are handmade out of gumpaste, as well as the 3D bird and number "3". The cake itself is triple chocolate made with buttermilk, cocoa powder, and chock full of chocolate chips. The layers are sandwiched with whipped ganache, and everything is covered with swiss meringue buttercream.
